About

Florie gounelle cours de chant coaching artistes

Hi, I'm Florie — my work is all about helping people find true power in their voice 🧡!

Whether you're learning to sing, exploring your speaking voice, or navigating the creative life of a musician, my work is designed to support you in a way that feels personal, warm, and deeply respectful.

Approach

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. Every lesson or coaching session is crafted around your needs, your values, and your way of learning.

Some of my students want technical mastery. Others want to sing with more ease and joy. Some want to overcome fear. Some just want to finally hear their own voice without judgment.

Whatever your path, I offer a space where you're allowed to grow gently, at your own pace, with a teacher who listens more than she corrects.

I'm told often that my greatest strength is how safe people feel in our sessions. Safe enough to try,  fail,  laugh, and start over. That's exactly the space I aim to hold!

Supporting the Body & Voice Connection

Training

I'm passionate about continuing education, and I regularly train with internationally recognized experts in voice, pedagogy, coaching, and vocal health. Here are a few highlights:

  • Postgraduate Cert. - Vocal Pedagogy (University of Wales Trinity Saint David)

  • Certified International Voice Teachers of Mix (IVTOM) Teacher

IVTOM trains teachers through a two-year program focused on vocal science, pedagogy, and healthy voice use. IVTOM is an international network of voice professionals committed to evidence-based teaching.

  • Trained FLOW Phonation Teacher

Network focused on vocal freedom and health through precise muscle coordination and acoustic-tuned technique.

  • Certified Professional Coach (Institut de Coaching International | Achology)

  • Ongoing vocal training with ENT Hubert Noé

  • Ongoing education through certified Continuous Professional Development voice courses

I also adapt my own learning to support yours: when a student is struggling with/interested in something specific, I often take targeted short courses to better guide them. This is my way of saying 'your voice matters enough for me to keep learning, too'.

& Human Experience

Still curious? Here's a blob about me

I teach, sing, coach, and occasionally eat too much chocolate. I have a Golden Retriever that I love dearly.
My work won a few awards (including Best Singing Book of All Time for my interactive book for beginner singers and a Recital Gold Medal from the Royal Irish Academy of Music), but what I’m proudest of is the trust my students place in me.

I’ve worked as a university instructor, leading workshops for graduate and PhD students on public speaking, confidence, and stress management.
I’ve also taught musical theatre and singing to children in summer camps, and even organized singing competitions — because I love creating spaces where voices can be heard, celebrated, and shared.
I’ve had the chance to work with amazing voice teachers such as Keri Hughes, Cecile Larochelle, and Hubert Noé, and I’ve taught in Ireland, France, and Canada.

Oh, and I used to play the hurdy-gurdy in a medieval museum in Waterford, Ireland.
And I’m French (but don’t hold that against me!).
